Abstract
451,992. Steam superheaters. SIEMENS - SCHUCKERTWERKE AKT.- GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. Aug. 30, 1935, No. 24300. Convention date, Sept. 21, 1934. [Class 123 (iii)] The regulation of superheat in a forced flow tubulous steam generator is effected by the variation of the quantity or temperature of washing liquid introduced into a washer 5 through which the steam from radiation and convection sections 1, 2, of the generator passes on its way to the superheater 3. Washing liquid may be supplied through a valvecontrolled pipe at a regulated temperature or, as shown, may be recirculated by a pump 8 from a collecting vessel 10 in which sludge is deposited ; make-up may be introduced through a pipe 12. By varying the steam pressure in vessel 10 the liquid temperature is regulated. Part of the circulating liquid may be introduced to flush through individual coils of the generator.
