448,207. Endless - belt conveyers. MINING ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and NYBORG, T. G., Meco Works, Worcester. Aug. 27, 1935, No. 23994. [Class 78 (i)] Each section of the troughed frame-work of a belt conveyer is provided at one end with pins 10 at each side, and at the other end with side plates 4 having tapered slots 5 cut in their upper edges, the sections 1, 2 being joined together by engaging the pins 10 of one section with the slots 5 of another. The plates 4 are extended downwardly to provide supporting feet for the sections, and have inclined slots 12 for receiving idler rollers 13 for the lower run of belting, these slots being closed by the end parts 15 of adjacent sections. The pins 10 are carried between the side walls of the section and off-set parts 8 of plates 7 secured to the side walls. The coupling allows limited pivotal movement of the sections about the pins 10, whilst preserving lateral rigidity.
