979,179. Endless conveyers. GEWERKSCHAFT EISENHUTTE WESTFALIA. July 12, 1962 [Aug. 16, 1961], No. 26832/62. Heading B8A. In an endless scraper conveyer, quadrantshaped corner pieces 15, in the region 17 where they are welded to the projecting portion 14 of the bottom part 11 of a conveyer channel section, are thicker than in the region 16 where they are welded to the side portions 12 of the section. The thicker portions of the corner pieces are thus provided in the regions where high wear due to the scraper chains normally occurs. The corner pieces engage in recesses 18 in the adjacent channel section and are preferably die-forged.
