Abstract

447,950. Hydraulic turbines &c. VOITH, W., VOITH, H., and VOITH, H., (trading as VOITH, J. M., [Firm of]), Heidenheim-on-Brenz, Wurtemberg, Germany. July 17, 1935, No. 20355. Convention date, July 17, 1934. [Classes 110 (i) and 110 (iii)] In hydraulic turbines and pumps in which the rotor vanes b are angularly adjustable in the hub a, the vanes are attached to stub shafts c which have collars f bearing upon split bushes g. The bushes make a bayonet joint with the opening in the hub and are suitably locked. The stub shafts are embraced by stirrups h and are connected to the axially movable controlling spindle o, p by bell-crank levers l and links n, m. All parts are arranged within the hub which is filled with oil. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also a description of packing for the stub shafts. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
