445,579. Discharge devices. BRITISH THOMSON - HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London, and SCOTT, W. J., 10, Rainsbrook Avenue, Rugby. Oct. 12, 1934, No. 29280. Drawings to Specification. [Class 39 (i)] A discharge device, such as a lamp, is formed by sealing a flare into the end of the tubular portion of the device by the drop seal method, and then sealing the electrode assembly therein by means of a pinch formed in the end of the flare by a stem-making machine. Electrode assemblies may be sealed into both ends of the tube.
