445,326. Bearings. POOL, T. A., Carvedras, Hayle, Cornwall. Aug. 7, 1935, No. 22305. [Class 12 (i)] Comprises means for mounting an idler or drum for a conveyer belt in a ball bearing and for supplying lubricant thereto. A pair of discs b, e are bolted, riveted, or screwed together, and one or both are permanently fixed to the drum by means of flanges c welded, riveted, or bolted thereto. The discs towards their centres are spaced apart to form a chamber, and adjacent the chamber the discs have shoulders h which fit tightly against the edges of the periphery of the outer member of the ball bearing. A washer n of felt, &c. is arranged between the disc b and the bearing. The chamber on either side of the bearing is free of the bearing. Lubricant is supplied through the tubular support m and passes to the adjacent bearing through a pipe p. The discs are bolted together and one or both may have strengthening ribs d.
