Abstract

419,534. Endless - belt conveyers. MITCHELL, F. G., Albyns, near Romford, Essex. May 17, 1933, No. 14338. [Class 78 (i).] Each idler roller 1 is supported at each end by a ball or roller bearing assemblage, of which one race 9 is fitted into or mounted upon one of the discs 3 forming a component part of the roller, and the other race 15 is fitted into, or mounted upon, an extending integral part 13 of an idler bracket 11 detachably mounted on a transverse member 12. A lubricator cap 19 is screwed into an aperture 18 in each outer bracket which opens into an annular recess 20. Lubricant passes from the recess 20 through a circular outlet 21 to the ball bearing 16, and through the passages 17 and tube 7 to the chamber 22, from whence it passes to the bearings 16. In a modification, the inner race is on the bracket, and the outer race upon the disc 3.
