[Also in Division F2] An axially-adjustable shaft assembly comprises a shaft 3 mounted in a bearing 2 of resilient material, such as nylon, in which the journal is formed with spaced annular restrictions 3b, 3c so that one or more resilient teeth 2'a attached to the bearing can engage the shaft in alternative axial positions. The teeth may be terminally attached together by a resilient ring 4.
