Abstract
391,046. Lubricating - passages. DODGE MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd. and STANDISH, S. J., Pelham Street, Toronto, Canada. Oct. 29, 1932, No. 30438. [Class 12 (ii).] At each end of the idler roller 35 of a belt conveyer is a hub in which are mounted roller bearings 39 and through which extends a hollow shaft 40. The ends of the shaft are threaded externally and are engaged by flanged nuts 42, the heads of which engage with vertical slots in the brackets 34. Lubricant is forced into the shaft by a grease nipple 47 and passes into the roller through an aperture 46. Its escape is prevented by sealing covers 44 secured to the nuts 42.
