379,875. Roller bearing ; lubricating conveyer rollers. STEVENS, A. H., 5, Quality Court, Chancery Lane, London.- (Robins Conveying Belt Co. ; Meade Avenue, Passaic, New Jersey, U.S.A.) Sept. 22, 1931, No. 26502. [Classes 12 (i) and 12 (ii).] A troughing-roller comprises end rollers 21 and intermediate rollers 34, the former rollers being mounted on hollow shafts 15 carried by brackets 10, 14, and the latter being carried by a flexible suspension medium 35, the ends of which are secured to the rollers 21. The bearings for the end rollers 21 are of the selfaligning roller type, and each comprises two complementary race members 22, 23 with interposed rollers 24. The members 22, 23 are fast on the shaft 15 and on the outer peripheral wall of a housing 25 on the inner end of the roller hub 26, respectively. The hub is supported by radial webs 27 which extend from end to end of the roller. Lubricant is supplied to the housing through the hollow shaft 15, and is prevented from escaping by a seal which comprises a ring 29 provided with a centrallydisposed annularly-recessed spheroidal flange 30, an annular gasket 32 fast on the shaft, and a cap 33. The gasket extends into the recess 31 of the flange 30.
