[Also in Group XXXIV] A sealing arrangement for the ball bearing 4, 5, 6 of an idler roller 2 of a belt conveyer supported on a shaft 1 comprises a laybrinth device 8, which is supplied with a sealing grease through a passage 20, and a sealing ring 11 clamped to the outer race 4 of the bearing and bearing against the inner race 5. The ring 11 prevents passage of the sealing grease into the bearing but allows surplus lubricating grease, supplied to the bearing through a nipple 19, to pass into the labyrinth seal 8.
