Feb. 8, 1935, No. 4126. 40 (v)] A plurality of tuned circuits feeding separate valve amplifiers are provided in a superheterodyne receiver and co - operate with a single local oscillator and a single aerial. The oscillator frequency is preferably above that of the tuned circuits and gang - tuned with these circuits to give constant intermediate frequencies. The local oscillation is preferably, as shown, applied to the cathode circuits of the frequency-changers 1, 9, and several frequency changing processes in cascade may be used. The invention is adapted to receive television signals and associated sound or synchronizing signals of 45 and 60 megacycles.
