[Class 40 (v)] A television superheterodyne receiver in which the associated sound and vision signals are heterodyned by a single local oscillator and the resultant intermediate frequency sound and vision signals are passed to separate channels is provided with automatic means responsive to departures of the intermediate sound frequency from a predetermined value for adjusting the frequency of the local oscillator so as to maintain it continuously at a value appropriate to the signals being received.
