Abstract

444,353. Lubricating doubling &c. rings. DUGDALE, J. R., 291, Willowfield Road, Halifax, Yorkshire. Dec. 24, 1934, Nos. 36949/34 and 3825/35. [Class 120 (ii)] The rings of yarn-doubling and like machines are provided with a vertical lubricant-supply hole f, breaking through the top surface at g and, if desired, communicating with the inner surface by holes h, i, and with a radial hole a registering with a hole in the ring rail adapted to be charged by a grease gun. The hole f may break into a shallow groove in the top of the ring. The hole in the ring rail is diametrically opposite to the clamping screw for the ring, to ensure an effective joint.
