Abstract
457,906. Lubricating oscillating bearings. WICKSTEED & CO. (1920), Ltd., C., and WICKSTEED, R., Stamford Road Works, Kettering, Northamptonshire. Nov. 12, 1935, No. 31308. [Class 12 (iii)] The fixed shaft 110 supporting an oscillating member 111 is lubricated by a ring 118 dipping into the lubricant bath 117. The ring is restrained to move mainly in one direction by the stud 119 acting as a brake. Bores 122 are formed to reduce inconvenient surge oi oil when the member 111 oscillates. The shaft is formed with oil grooves 120. In a modification the shaft oscillates in a fixed surrounding member.
