Abstract

1336679 Lubricated spinning rings EADIE BROS & CO Ltd 10 July 1972 [29 July 1971] 35618/71 Heading DID A ring for ring spinning machines is made from sintered metal and is provided on its inner surface with a shoulder a. A groove a<SP>5</SP> may be provided below the shoulder (Fig. 3) and a lubricant entry passage a<SP>2</SP> breaks into the groove on shoulder and communicates with a port b. The port b may be part of a circumferential groove which is covered by a mild steel sleeve B, Fig. 6. An additional passage may communicate with the top of the ring, Fig. 4 or with other parts Figs. 8 and 9 (not shown).
