996,054. Spinning rings. EADIE BROS. & CO. Ltd. Jan. 24, 1962 [Jan. 31, 1961], No. 3613/61. Heading D1D. A ring for spinning &c. is made of nylon and takes one of two forms to facilitate lubrication of the surface on which the traveller runs: (a) it may consist of upper and lower parts separated by distance pieces to provide a lubricating passage, or (b) it may consist of upper and lower parts the upper part having a projection a<SP>1</SP> which extends part way into a groove c 2 in the lower part to form a space for lubricant and to create a gap c3 between the two parts to provide a passage for lubricant to reach the inner face of the ring.
