444,321. Couplings for vehicles. SKINNER, A. T., Stafford House, Stafford Road, Sidcup, Kent, and WAIGH, R. A. L., 7, Hughenden Avenue, Kenton, Middlesex. Sept. 18, 1934, No. 26755. [Class 103 (v)] A draw-bar d comprising spaced side cheeks is universally jointed at its ends to the draught vehicle, not shown, and to the chassis c of the trailer and forms a guide for the upturned end of a tiller bar h of which the other end is universally jointed to the axle a or other part of the trailer and which is connected, by a link n and universal joints m, o, with the steering mechanism l of the stub axle u of one of the front wheels of the trailer, the other front wheel being actuated by the track rod v. The tiller bar is provided with an antifriction roller p and is prevented from leaving the draw-bar by a nut r and washer q. In a modification the tiller-bar is provided with a crosshead carrying rollers which run in slots along the side cheeks of the draw-bar.
