442,411. Cathode-ray tubes. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, Emmasingel, Eindhoven, Holland. Aug. 2, 1935, No. 22003. Convention date, Oct. 17, 1934. [Class 39 (i)] The envelope for a Braun tube is formed with the glass end 5 remote from the pinch 1 made separate from the main porcelain body 3 and then sealed thereto. If necessary a chrome-iron ring may be used for sealing between the body and end 5. This end may be of splinter-proof glass or it may be covered by gelatine or by material known under the Registered Trade Mark "Cellophane," or a metal gauze body may cover the end or be embedded therein during manufacture. The fluorescent screen may be formed ' on the end 5 or on a flat plate 7 sealed into the tube.
