[Class 39 (i)] In a short wave valve the leads 4 from the electrodes 3 pass through the wall of the envelope without the use of a pinch; short connectors 5 pass through the interior of the cap 2 to contacts 6 arranged at the upper edge of the cap. To retain the valve firmly, a member 10 in the holder bears on a piece 9 fixed on the cap.
