Abstract
441,106. Bed-chairs. FISCHER, S., 57, Horthy Mikl¾s-ut, Budapest. June 13, 1935, No. 17062. Convention date, July 4, 1934. [Class 52 (ii)] In a convertible bedchair in which the back frame is formed in two portions a, f, Fig. 1, hinged together at the top, with the part a hinged to the seat, folding legs e are pivoted to the part a and have slots d in which engage pins on the ends of links i pivoted to the part f. Tension springs n, Fig. 4, are connected to the ends of the links i and to the hinge members b to which the legs e are pivoted, so that the legs are caused to assume a vertical position when the frames a, f are opened out to the bed position. A compression spring, preferably in a casing, may alternatively be arranged between the lower end of the leg and the end of the link i.
