Abstract
440,913. Rotary compressors. JANECEK, F., (trading as ZBROJOVKA ING. F. JANECEK), Nusle, Prague. Nov. 8, 1934, No. 32174. Convention date, Nov. 9, 1933. [Class 110 (ii)] The compressor comprises a non-circular casing 3, and an eccentric rotor 1 provided with one or more vanes 4 which have a central bearing 6 upon a crank-shaft 8 which lies parallel to the rotor shaft 2 and rotates at twice the speed of that shaft. The shaft 8 may be geared to the rotor shaft in any manner. Counter weights may be provided to balance the centrifugal force of the vanes, except where the number of vanes, angularly displaced, may balance each other. In the latter case, the vanes must be cut away axially to allow relative motion between them. The vane tips may operate with a small clearance.
