[Class 37] [See also Group V] A high-frequency core comprising two or more parts of insulated magnetic particles has one of its parts permanently altered in form during assembly of the core as a unit, the deformation holding the parts in rigid relationship. The limb a is secured to flanges b by softening the ends of the part a and applying pressure thereto. The coil former c, preferably of polystyrol, is permanently positioned during the operation. One of the flanges may be integral with the centre limb. During assembly the reluctance of the core may be adjusted by forming recesses d.
