[Class 103 (vi)] In a railway-vehicle bogie a number of thick flat rubber pads d are located between and within recesses in the lower bearing- member b of the pivot a and a transverse member c of the truck, and are secured by bolts f also passing through the members b, c, the pads d thus serving to support the load and also to permit a limited relative movement in the horizontal direction between the body and truck. The securing bolts may also pass through additional pads disposed below the upper surface of the transverse member c. In order to limit the relative movement of the body, stops or rubbing blocks may be supported on the outer ends of the member c by means of interposed rubber pads h.
