Axle-trucks and bogies.-A temporary undercarriage for transporting a coach or wagon body over a permanent way other than that for which it is designed is provided with a connection or mounting for the wagon body which permits of lateral adjustment of the one with respect to the other. The king-pin h of the bogie secures the body a to the bogie, the lower end of the pin passing through upper and lower slots in the bogie bolster b. A centre bearing k, l rests in a cradle n supported on roller bearings c, the cradle being connected to screwed rods o which pass through plates p fixed to the sides of the bogie. By adjusting the nuts q the cradle n with the king-pin h can be traversed to one side or the other of the bogie, the lateral movement of the body being limited by stops s on the sides of the vehicle; the relative movement of the cradle and roller bearing c is also limited by stops. The side bearer pads t of the body are adapted to travel over lateral extensions u of the bogie bolster.
