Abstract

436,881. Pipe joints. HILL, E., 15, Windsor Road, Teddington, Middlesex. April 20, 1934, No. 11963. [Class 99 (i)] A coupling member 4 is secured in the expanded end of a pipe by solder at 7 and engages with line contact the tapered bore of the pipe. The ferrule may be slotted at 6 to form keyways for the solder and may be flared outwardly at its end 5. The other end of the ferrule is secured in any way to a fitting or pipe, or to join two pipes may be formed symmetrically and soldered in the above manner to each pipe.
