Abstract

412,011. Pipe joints. KILBURN, W. L., 45, Enderley Road, Harrow Weald, Middlesex, and STIRK, R. H., 1, Hyde Park Road, Southsea. April 7, 1933, No. 10410. [Class 99 (i).] Copper pipes are joined by a bronze weld, the pipe 1 abutting against a shoulder 5 in the socket 6, the mouth of which is stepped to provide a recess 8 to receive the bronze which extends outside the recess along the pipe and to the outer edge of the socket as at 10. The socket may comprise the enlarged end of one pipe, or be a sleeve into which both pipes are brazed.
