433,890. Bowden mechanism. MANNERS, E., c/o Thames Craft Manufacturing Co., Twickenham, Middlesex. April 17, 1934, No. 11542. [Class 80 (iii)] [See also Group XXVII] A throttle control gear, particularly for outboard motors or auxiliary petrol engines on water craft, comprises a handle d connected to a spindle c having an arm c' adjustably connected by a Bowden wire e to the throttle valve, and a second arm c' having a ball catch c<8> which engages recesses a<5> in the casing a so as to hold the handle in a number of predetermined positions corresponding to various openings of the throttle. The front of the casing bears illuminated indications of these positions, from " stop " to " full speed ahead." The connection of the Bowden wire e is made to one of a series of holes c<5> according to the amount of movement required.
