473,467. Spray carburetters. ZWICKY, A. March 12, 1937, No. 7384. Convention date, March 14, 1936. [Classes 7 (ii), 7 (iii), and 7 (vi)] An auxiliary throttle valve a, mounted-in an attachment between the carburetter A and the induction pipe C, is coupled with the throttle valve and can be independently operated by the driver when the throttle is moved to the idling position so as to close completely the induction pipe. The auxiliary valve a is coupled to the throttle valve c by levers c<2>, d, e and f, of which the latter e, f are connected by a spring-catch device, formed by a ball e3 which normally engages a detent g<1>. When. the valve c is in the idling position, the valve a may be completely shut by a rod h<2> which through a finger h<1> on a bell-crank lever h rotates the lever f and breaks the spring-catch device between the levers e, f. The mixture rotates fan wheels b on opposite sides of the throttle valve a.
