433,103. Valves. ATELIERS NEYRETBEYLIER & PICCARD - PICTET, Avenue Beauvert, Grenoble, IsÚre, France. Sept. 29, 1934, No. 27916. Convention date, Sept. 30, 1933. [Class 135] For producing a constant flow of liquid irrespective of variations of upstream and downstream pressures, a butterfly valve L is pivoted on a diameter the spindle carrying a cam C from which a weight P is flexibly suspended to apply a couple opposed to that due to the flowing liquid according to a known law. By changing the weight, the value of the constant flow may be varied. In a modification, the cam C is inclined upwardly and the weight is suspended from a roller rolling between the cam and a fixed rail. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 states that the opposing torque may be obtained by other devices embodying cams, counterweights, levers, linkworks, gears, springs and cam floating bells; this statement does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
