345,319. Fluid governors. SIEMENS SCHUCKERTWERKE AKT.-GES., Sie. mensstadt, Berlin. Nov. 19, 1929, No. 35371. Convention date, Nov. 28, 1928. Addition to 314,809, [Class 57, Governors &c.]. [Class 57.] A modification of the governor described in the parent Specification in which the valve 7 which maintains constant pressure behind the quantity valve 2 is operated by a piston 17 through an auxiliary control 16 to which pressure is delivered from the space 4 behind the quantity valve by the pipe 18. Pressure is delivered to the top and bottom of the cylinder of the auxiliary control device from pipe 18, port 19 is the overflow and pipes 14 and 24 lead to spaces 13 and 15 respectively. The piston 16 is guided by an extension passing through a gland and the excess upward thrust is countered by the spring 20. When the pressure in pipe 18 increases, the piston 16 moves upwards and uncovers the pipe 14 and the valve 7 is lifted to allow a greater flow. When the pressure in the pipe 18 falls, the piston 16 moves downwards under the influence of the spring 20 and uncovers the pipe 24 and the valve 7 is slightly closed. In the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) the desired speed of the prime move is fixed by the tension allowed in the spring 20. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
