Abstract

431,798. Thermal switches. SATCHWELL, L., Farnham Road, Slough, Bucking- hamshire. Feb. 19, 1934, No. 5469. [Class 38 (v)] In a thermostatic switch wherein the movable contact member carries an armature adapted to be attracted by a magnet to provide a snap action, the contact member is a spring having the shape shown in Fig. 4. The member is fixed to a support at the ends of its two outer limbs 81, 8<2>, the free end of the central limb 9 carries the contact and the armature 9<a> and an adjustable screw 12 moved by the thermal element bears on the middle of the central limb 9. The screw 12 is mounted in an insulating block 11 which straddles the contact member 9 and is secured to a non-expanding rod 2 mounted within an expanding tube 1.
