431,092. Current collectors for electric vehicles. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., 28, Kingsway, London, and WOOD, H. B., 24, Parkfield Avenue, Silverhill Road, Bradford Moor, Bradford, Yorkshire. Dec. 1, 1933, No. 11677/34. Divided out of 431,053. Drawings to Specification. [Class 104 (iii)] A two-pole current-collector comprises a platform 2, see Figs. 2 and 3 of the abridgment of Specification 431,053, pivoted on a frame 1 on the vehicle and carrying two vertical pivots on which the pole ends 5 turn. The ends 5 carry two arms 5<a> provided with two pivots on which the forked portions 9<b> of the poles 9 pivot vertically. The flexible cables 10 pass across the pivotal axes and are secured to the lead-in cables 11 by a rubbing joint comprising collars 10<a>, 11<a> on the cable ends secured by spring washers 19, 21 on a stem 17<a> mounted on an insulator 16. The cables 10 are clamped to the interiors of the poles 9 by insulating glands 15.
