[Class 87 (i)] A structural plate, Fig. 3, for the production of walls, ceilings, and the like, consists of a base 3 of cement, gypsum magnesite or bitumen, which may be mixed with sawdust, cinders, brick dust, or the like, and have a reinforcement 1 of crossed rush stalks 1. Cavities may be provided in the base materials. The reinforcements 1 are tied together by wires 2. Three layers of reinforcement may be used. In a modification, Fig. 4, channels 4 may run parallel with the central reinforcing layer which is of corrugated form. In another modification, Fig. 5, the structural plate has reinforcing wires between layers of reinforcement and is bent to form an arch.
