506,357. Building - blocks; floors; walls. DAKIN, E. L. V. Nov. 26, 1937, No. 32659. [Classes 20 (iv) and 87 (i)] A block for floors walls or roofs com prises an upper longitudinal part 1 and a lower trans verse part 2 having an open ended passage 6 through it transverse to the part 1. A passage, may extend from end to end or across the part 1 and the parts 1 and 2 may be of the same shape. In forming floors, part blocks are used at the edges thereof. In forming walls, part blocks are used at edges, corners and junctions thereof. In a modification, Fig. 12, the longitudinal part 1 is solid and the lower part is provided with flanges 22. The edges of the part 1 may be chamfered. Recesses 16 may be provided whereby cement may be poured into some of the passages formed in the floor &o. ; reinforcement may also be provided in the passages.
