[Class 120 (ii)] The yarn, unwinding from a flanged bobbin, is prevented from becoming trapped beneath the flange of the bobbin by being led over the edge of a disc a of greater diameter than the bobbin flange mounted upon a spindle c guided and supported upon a footstep bearing g within the fixed spindle d upon which the bobbin b is placed. The disc a may be of inverted saucer shape surrounding the flange and may have strengthening corrugations and be secured to a boss h which is secured to the spindle c by a set screw i.
