Tension arrangements; creel arrangements.-A yarn tensioning and controlling device for winding-machines comprises a conoidal or paraboloidal block A and a floating ring D of light material between which the yarn passes and holds the ring in suspension. The device is mounted on the stationary delivery spindle B above the cheese or bobbin being unwound. The block A is made of wood, metal, hard wax, or other material, and is dished on its underside to rest flat against the head of the bobbin c.
