Abstract

184,108. Sudlow, W. G. Nov. 24, 1921. Winding-machines. - An appliance for handwinding silks, wools, &c. comprises a bobbin C, provided with a handle F and carried on a hollow vertical spindle B which is mounted on a base A. The thread is wound on to the bobbin as the latter is rotated by means of its handle F, the tension in the thread being maintained by passing it through a guide E, and around a guide-reel E mounted on a pin D. The thread-end is secured under a clip J. A spring clip H fits into the top of the spindle B to prevent the bobbin C from jumping.
