Abstract

395,181. Thread-tension and stopmotion devices for warping-machines. ETABLISSEMENTS L. BERIDOT, Voiron, IsÞre, France. Aug. 24, 1932, No. 23714. Convention date, Aug. 27, 1931. [Class 142 (iv).] The combined device comprises a fixed member 3, Figs. 1 and 3, provided with a series of bars 4, and a pivoted member 5 provided with guide eyes 7 arranged between the bars 4, the thread 1 passing from the supply bobbin through the guide 2 and then around members 4, 7 in a zig-zag path having undulations of increasing amplitude. The member 5 is urged downwardly by a rubber cord or strip 8 and on breakage or failure of the thread or undue diminution of tension is pulled downwards into contact with a blade spring 15 secured to a terminal 11 and thereby completes a circuit to stop the machine or actuate an alarm signal. The tension in the cord 8 may be adjusted by turning the spindle 9.
