Abstract
436,835. Warping yarns. MASCHINENFABRIK SCHWEITER AKT.-GES., Horgen, near Zurich, Switzerland. Feb. 8, 1935, No. 4143. Convention date, March 29, 1934. [Class 142 (iv)] Stop-motions.-Control mechanism for electric stop motion devices in creels for warping frames and like textile machines comprises pivoted electric contact, e.g. a tube 11 containing mercury and pivoted on a rod 9, Fig. 1, controlling an electric circuit for actuating the stop motion and a number of feelers or detectors 8, Fig. 3, which are arranged so that movement of any one due to breakage of the yarn (or any other cause which it is to detect) causes the contact 11 to close the circuit. On breakage of any of the yarns the corresponding detector 8 drops and depresses a rod 12, rocking the holder 11 to the position shown in Fig. 2, and closing the circuit through the wires 15, 16. In a modification the detectors may be formed as blades 17, Fig. 5, having slots 20 through which the rod 12 passes. Specifications 342,128 and 375,832 are referred to.
