Abstract
421,395. Mounting bobbins on spinning- spindles. KUWADA, G., Maetani-Mura, Kawabegun, Hyogo, Japan. Aug. 27, 1934, No. 24664. [Class 120 (ii)] A spinning - spindle has a whorl comprising an inner part 1 and cap 4, the inner part being grooved peripherally near its top and vertically down its sides, T-shaped springs 2 being arranged in the grooves so as to have their vertical curved portions, which are fitted with weights 3, free to move outwardly, and to protrude through apertures 5 in the cap 4 and to engage the bobbin. The bobbin is thereby resiliently gripped when at rest, the gripping action being assisted by the centrifugal action of the weights 3 when the spindle revolves.
