428,298. Distributers for sand, gravel, &c. MOLYNEUX, J., 236, Station Road, Bamber Bridge, near Preston, DEWHURST, H. H., 21, Ribblesdale Place, and HOON, F., Greengates, Hollinghurst Avenue, Penwortham, both in Preston. Nov. 14, 1933, No. 31680. [Class 6 (i)] A hopper or container mounted on a wheeled chassis is provided with spring-controlled discharge doors b, a delivery roller d having waved grooves, spring-loaded release plates e for control of the flow and release of pieces of abnormal size, a fixed spreader plate i, and means for opening some or all of the doors b by the operation of a master lever or levers. The spring-loaded plates e are adjusted by moving a channel bracket f by means of a hand-wheel g and screw and lever mechanism. The grooved roller d may be driven from one of the wheels by gearing h. The sliding doors b are connected by rods k to levers n loosely mounted on a shaft s and controlled by springs p fastened to the hopper. All or any of the doors b may be adjusted by turning the shaft s by means of a master lever, arms o on the shaft carrying removable pins for engaging the levers n. The machine is provided with an adjustable castor wheel at the back for regulating the height of the draw-bar.
