555,329. Road grit distributers. INGHAM K. R. Feb. 18, 1942, No. 2151. [Class 6 (i)] Road gritting machines are fitted with alternate y usable sets of wheels, the pneumatic or solid rubbertyred wheels b being for use during transport only and the roller or steel-tyred wheels g for use during grit distribution. The change-over may be effected by leverage on the draw-bar i which is for the purpose swung upwardly and detained by a pin engaging the upper part of the frame j. A castor-wheel e, used with the wheels b also has upper and lower positions as shown.
