427,268. Thermally actuated valves. WHEATON, A. W., 77, Durand Road, Maplewood, New Jersey, U.S.A. March 9, 1934, No. 7615. [Class 135] An automatic shutoff valve for pipe lines delivering inflammable fluids comprises a lift - valve 21 held open against the pressure of a spring 25, by a cam-lever 30 the other arm 32 of which forms a detent held bv a trip lever 39, 37, pivoted on the valve casing. The trip lever is held by a line which is attached at 38 and includes a fusible link. The exterior end of the cam-spindle 28 is squared to receive a wrench for opening the valve in setting the device.
