Abstract

241,942. Kokemper, B., and Rehn, G. Oct. 25, 1624, [Convention date]. Safety cut-off valves.- In an air-pressure flushing- cistern, the sliding discharge valve 10 is lifted by means of a weighted lever 20. and thereby releases a pivoted flap 21, which closes the outlet 25 and the bifurcated end 22 of which bears against a flange 15. The discharge valve is held open by the pressure of the water on the flap 21 until the cistern is emptied, and then returns by gravity.
