Valvedischarge water-waste preventers. -A flushing device for water-closets comprises a vessel 1 provided with a valve piston having portions 10<a> - - 10<d> of different diameters. When the piston is moved to the position shown by means of a lever 13 and screw-and-nut mechanism, water entering the valve casing at 4 passes by a packing member 7 and through holes 26 into the vessel 1. As soon as a predetermined pressure is attained, the valve is raised by the unbalanced pressure on the portion 10<a>; the portion 10<b> thus makes a joint with the packing member 7 preventing further entry of water, and the water in the vessel 1 escapes through the holes 26 and outlet 2.
