Abstract
Sulphuretted hydrogen is formed by the treatment with hydrogen of coal gas, water or produce gas, furnace gas, &c., on bye-products obtained in their manufacture. The hydrogen is generated by the action of acids or alkalies on metals, or metals on water, or by electrolysis and the gases or liquid or solid bye-products under treatment are preferably brought into contact with the acid &c., in which the hydrogen is being generated. Specifications 169,996, 170,572, and 283,948, [all in Class 55 (ii)], are referred to.
