[Class 61 (ii)] The pivoted shank 6 of the pliers &c., of the parent Specification is provided with a stop 9 which in the fully open position of the shank 6 prevents the pivoted jaw 5 from being turned to the closed position against the fixed jaw. Stop edges 12 formed by bending the side wings of the pivoted shank 6 coact with the edges of the wings of the fixed jaw member to limit the opening movement of the pivoted shank 6 and the edges of the sector portion 10 limit its closing movement. A spring 11 around the pivot 4 tends to urge the pivoted jaw 5 in anticlockwise direction.
