422,014. Stoves burning solid or other fuel. LUBBOCK, I., JOYCE, J. R., and ASIATIC PETROLEUM CO., Ltd., St. Helen's Court, Great St. Helens, London. Dec. 8, 1933, No. 34610. [Class 126] Apparatus, such as a domestic boiler, for burning liquid or gaseous as well as solid fuels, comprises a combustion chamber having the flue outlet 6 at or near the bottom, a solid-fuel grate 12 in the lower part, and a burner 8 at the upper part. In the construction shown, the combustion chamber is formed by a lining 3 in a boiler 1, and the gases heat the boiler in passing up a rear passage to the flue 5. The burner 8, which may comprise an assembly of a fuel pump, an air fan, a motor for driving them, and auxiliary parts, is hinged to the boiler so that it may be swung aside to allow the aperture 7 to be used for access to the combustion chamber and for feeding fuel.
