Abstract

419,107. Wringers. ACME WRINGERS, Ltd., and BURT, J. W., 85, David Street, Bridgeton, Glasgow. Aug. 12, 1933, No. 22546. [Class 138 (ii).] A bracket 2, Fig. 3, having a socket for receiving one of the pins 3 projecting from the base of the wringer frame is provided with an offset extension 4 by which it is pivoted at 5 to a bracket 6 secured to the underside of the cover 7 which is pivoted at 8. When the wringer is in the inoperative position wherein it is parallel to the cover its non-pivoted end is supported by the operating spindle 13 being received in a bifurcated bracket 12, Fig. 1, on the underside of the cover. When the cover is raised and the wringer is swung about the pivot 5 to its operative position it lies in the plane of the end wall 11 of the sink, washing- machine &c. or of a partition separating two compartments 9, 10 thereof. In such position it is supported by horizontal flanges 141, 151, Fig. 3, formed on the brackets 2, 21 resting on the top of the wall or partition, and by the engagement of recesses 19 on clamps 18 with ribs 20 on vertical flanges 14, 15 of the brackets 2, 2<1>.
